Professional Code for Registrants

The Registration and Licensing of personnel carries expectations, in terms of both performance and conduct.


Performance expectations from Registered Practitioners and Corporates:

Registered Administrator

A Registered Administrator demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of administrative processes and practices within the TIC sector. They possess the ability to manage and maintain documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. With strong organisational skills, they effectively coordinate schedules, meetings, and communications, contributing to the smooth operation of their organisation. Their proficiency in using various administrative tools and software enhances their efficiency and productivity. They understand the importance of confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information, making them a reliable asset to the team. The Registered Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the daily functions and long-term goals of the TIC sector organisation.


Registered Manager

A Registered Manager shows advanced leadership and management capabilities specific to the TIC sector. They have a deep understanding of the sector's standards, regulations, and operational requirements. Their strategic planning skills enable them to set and achieve organisational objectives effectively. They are adept at managing teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. The Registered Manager is skilled in problem-solving and decision-making, ensuring that all processes align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Their ability to communicate clearly and lead by example inspires their team to achieve high levels of performance and compliance. They are responsible for overseeing projects, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement within their organisation.


Registered Internal Auditor

A Registered Internal Auditor possesses thorough knowledge of internal auditing processes and standards within the TIC sector. They are capable of conducting comprehensive audits to evaluate the effectiveness of their organisation's internal controls, risk management, and governance processes. Their analytical skills enable them to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions. They are proficient in documenting audit findings and preparing detailed reports for management review. The Registered Internal Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organisation adheres to relevant standards and regulations, thereby enhancing its overall integrity and performance. Registered Lead Auditor

A Registered Lead Auditor exhibits exceptional expertise in leading audit teams and managing audit processes within the TIC sector. They have an extensive understanding of auditing principles, standards, and best practices. Their leadership skills are evident in their ability to plan, conduct, and oversee complex audits, ensuring they are executed efficiently and effectively. They are skilled in risk assessment, identifying key areas of focus during audits to maximise the impact of their findings. The Registered Lead Auditor is responsible for ensuring that audit teams are well-prepared and operate cohesively. Their communication skills enable them to present audit results clearly and persuasively to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Their role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing the quality and credibility of the organisation's operations.


General Conditions for all registrants and users of The RISC Organisation Limited Professional Code and Licensing conditions for The RISC Organisation Limited Registrants, Registered Practitioners and Corporates, (Members) covering codes of professional conduct, ethics, equality and diversity, licensing of titles and post nominals, withdrawal of privileges and rules for appeal.

  1. Code of Professional Conduct
    Members of 'The RISC Organisation Limited ' are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, responsibility, and accountability in all their professional activities. Adherence to these principles is essential in maintaining the public's trust and upholding the reputation of the profession or Specialist Industry Sector they represent.
  2. Ethics
    Members must conduct themselves ethically at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, practicing honesty in all dealings, maintaining confidentiality where required, and avoiding conflicts of interest. Members should also commit to continuous professional development to stay current in their field.
  3. Equality and Diversity
    Members must promote and support equality and diversity in the workplace and their profession. This involves respecting differences, combating discrimination, and encouraging inclusivity in all professional activities.
  4. Licensing of Titles and Post-Nominals
    Upon award of The RISC Organisation Limited  credentials, qualifications and certifications, members are granted the right to use designated titles and post-nominals that signify their professional status. These are to be used responsibly and only in a manner that reflects the extent of their registration and the standards and dignity of their profession. Misuse of titles or post-nominals may result in disciplinary actions including revocation.
  5. Professionalism and Reputation
    Members must act professionally at all times and in a manner that does not bring The RISC Organisation Limited, its partners, accreditors, governance members, staff  or the registrant's representative employing organisation or profession into disrepute. This includes both public and private conduct and conduct on social media. 
  6. Withdrawal of Privileges
    If a member is found guilty of breaching this professional code, including acts that compromise the The RISC Organisation Limited or their Profession or representative organisation's integrity, the member may face disciplinary actions. These can range from warnings to the withdrawal of membership, registrations, qualifications and privileges, including the use of professional titles and post-nominals.
  7. Appeals
    Members have the right to appeal any disciplinary action taken against them. The appeals process should be initiated within 14 calendar days from the date of the disciplinary action. The appeal will be conducted fairly and impartially, through The RISC Organisation Limited  and its governors and the member should have the opportunity to present evidence and arguments in their defence.
  8. Continuous Monitoring and Improvement
    The The RISC Organisation Limited commits to continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of this code and making improvements as necessary to uphold the standards of the registrations, certifications and professions that its services represent, and to address any emerging challenges and opportunities in its field.

These conditions and codes are designed to foster a professional environment based on ethical behavior, responsibility, and mutual respect among all members and stakeholders of The RISC Organisation Limited.
